warm? Radeon 8500 64mb OEM $110 (not refurb) at newegg

Search the threads in General Hardware. It is considered the best bang for the buck videocard with excellent 2D and great DVD player also. I'm waiting for the 128MB DDR version to go on sale (that or the new Radeon 9700 but that'll be big bucks).

One difference between the OEM and the retail Radeons is that the clockspeed is lower on the OEM...I think it's a difference of like 25MHz. I don't know how noticeable it is though. The 8500 definately seems to be a good card though... if I didn't already have a Radeon in my system, I'd be tempted to pick this up

Get the 8500LE on Newegg for $94. The specs they have listed are incorrect. I have one that came with 3.3ns ram and was clocked at 250/275. I was able to overclock it to 300/300 on my first try and I havent even started tweaking it yet.

exactly......After you read this about the 9700, you'll understand why the 8500 will start dropping like the stock market in price.....or atleast read the Benchmark Tests :Q
