Not sure it's worth it with a 2.8 Phenom II (920) only $40 more.

Still a good deal, but that extra $40 buys you a lot of headroom.
 
I think it's warm if you've got an older mobo that will support it but not the PII, like mine. I can't find any current motherboard that has all the features that I like from a manufacturer I like so I'm gonna wait until the next round of boards come out to snag one, in the meantime the 9950 is a great boost to my system and will work in my M2N32-SLI Deluxe
