Warm: Newegg Corsair XMS3200C2 256MB $69

Corsair? yeah definitely for ocing, i remembered getting real close to the Rambus ram with my pc2400 sisoft memory benchmark. I think it's only 25% slower than rambus. But imagine oc'ing the 3200....now that's sweet.

Used to be, but now they've fallen...most of overclockers I know still prefer Corsair XMS or Kingston HyperX over Mushkin.
Anyhow the XMS3200C2 is CAS 2.0-3-3-6, and the Mushkin PC3200 is CAS 2.5-4-4-6.

It can run faster than those timings, they're too conservative

And there is this stuff

And these benchmarks showing Mushkin beating Corsair everytime

From the review:
We were truly impressed because even though it is rated at CAS 2.5-4-4, it worked solidly at CAS 2-2-2-5.

Indeed, I've got my XMS3200C2 running @ 190MHz, CAS 2.0-2-2-3 @ 2.63V
For those of us preferring larger sticks, Nutrend.com has XMS3200C2 512MB for $122 a pop.

Just out of curiosity, why aren't people buying pc3500 ram? Is it not much performance gain over the pc3200? Last I checked, the kingston hyper-x 3500 was pretty cheap at newegg.

And if you read the entire article they also said this: (this is exact quote...their engrish not so good)
The above benchmarks show that the 2 modules has no advantage whatsoever over the other when using the same aggressive timings of CAS 2-2-2-5

googlegear has the LL (low latency) for 142$ for 512MB here and for 116$ for the c2 here

i'm going for the 116$ stick because i'm strapped for cash right now (just bought the Dell deal w/ 18.1 LCD) 🙂🙂

The XMS3500C2 and the LL series (both 3200 and 3500) have some issues with Epox 8RDA+/8RGA+ C1 errors. Too much work for me.
I don't overclock to insane FSB levels, so 3200C2 is fine for me.
