I think you are looking at the regular Ti4600 on PW. Lowest price for 8x AGP is $172.95 shipped which works out to be the same as Compgeeks ($166 + $7). Same MSI card. Still too high though

Geeks Refurbs = Pain in the ass piece of crap!

said 'factory refurb'. assuming that means refurb my MSI. I'm cool with that. moot point as they don't ahve them anymore anyways

Well

The Ti4600 may be fast enough in todays games, it is not very future proof. Even the 9600 pro is going to beat it out in Half life 2, and you can get that for 150$ For a little more than 170$ you can get a 9700 np

Either way its a better investment. This card is FAR too expensive for the technology level/generation regardless of it's speed in todays games. Your better off saving some money on and getting a 9600, or spending more for a 9700 np

There was thread a while ago on the Compgeeks TI4600 that some members were getting defective cards. My friend actually got one from Compgeek and it died less than month.

Or get a 9500 Pro for $180. Comparable price. Faster than 9600. More future-proof than the Ti4600. Review at AnandTech (Ti4600 is faster using today's games, but we know from recent articles the NVidia cards will not do as well with upcoming games). Review at Sharky Extreme (9500 Pro is faster than a 9600 Pro).
