Warm: NCAA 2005 and Madden 2005 deal

AT EB Games...Trade-in five games (even old sports games) and get NCAA 2005 or Madden 2005 and only pay sales tax (if you have it). They're giving at least $10 per game. For instance, for homerun king 2003 they would give me $3 towards any game or $10 toward NCAA or Madden. So 3 trade-in games and get $30 off the price or 5 and $50 off.

This is a way to put those cheap CC purchases toward a great game. Buy 5 CC $5 games and then goto EB and trade them in and for NCAA or Madden. Yoour out of pocket cost would only be $25 +tax.

Sounds like an okay deal. BTW a friend of mine got a lot of those CC deals games and went to strawberries and they gave him 40 bucks for each of them...

Where's that store? Any place in the east coast I could do that?

Or you could buy ESPN Football 2K5 brand new for $19.99, and not have to trade in anything, and it comes out in 9 days.

I think that's the better deal around, but if you're sure you want to buy Madden, then this deal aint too bad.

This deal is full of exclutions. The guy at EB said they found out about the CC deal, and started excluded many of the titles CC has for $5, but not all of them. From my experience, the 4.99 games that will trade in at $10 are Wreckless, celb. death match, NHL hitz pro, and The Sims. The ones that are worth $1 in trade in were Terminator, spyhunter, smashing drive, ESPN world series baseball, and NBA 2k2. I'm sure there are others, these are the ones i know about. All the games i mentioned were xbox titles, although i don't think that matters. Also, limit one of each title per customer.

Agree on ESPN Football. Even better for me, in the spring i picked up 20oz coke bottles people left on campus and took their caps. They had codes inside, collected 10 and i have a $10 credit (and free shipping) towards any ESPN title at ebworld.com.

do they include systems such as SNES, and orig Playstation?

I asked, and he said Xbox, PS2 and GC only.
I was hoping they would take Dreamcast games, but no dice.

I guess it could be different at various stores, but at my store it was any game not on the "black list", sports or otherwise.

I plan on getting NCAA this year so this looks like a decent deal for me. ESPN is getting my NFL $$ this year thanks to their wonderful price point though.

Nice deal, I'll be using this on Madden. Got plenty of old sports titles to trade in since they're usually only worth like 2 bucks I never bothered trading them in.

Those of you that are grabbing ESPN instead of Madden, be my guest. But to me the $30 difference seems like a small price to pay to get a much better version of a game I'll still be playing many hours a week an entire year from now.

This guy is right. I bought a bunch of games at CC hoping to then trade them in to EB, but they only took 2 of the games for the $10 deal. For the rest, they only offered 50cents. The 2 games they took were...

Cat In The Hat
ToCA Race Driver 2

You didn't play ESPN last year or bother to read any preview/reviews for this years versions right?

As a matter of fact I did. Sure, having Chris Berman do highlights is fun for the first 10 minutes, but ESPN wasted all their time on useless features like cribs whereas Madden finetuned their already superior gameplay. In the end, it all comes down to gameplay, and there's nothing that can touch madden there.

Only thing is Madden is always 5 times better than ESPN football.

Heading down at lunch to pick up my copy. Guy said he already sold out of PS2 version. I was told by this store that sports games are excluded from the trade in special.
