*My first Hot Deal post, so please be gentle*

While looking through the Black Friday sale bill for Aldi's, I noticed they had a Medion Optical Wireless 5-button mouse (2 RF channels) that has the base unit/charger for $24.99.
To me, it looks awfully similar to the MX700. Is this, perhaps, a rebadged Logitech?

highly doubtful, but if it were a true rebadge I'd jump on it. Would like to see a pic/ad of it.

8 buttons...1) mouse one and 2) mouse two, 3) scroll up and 4)down, 5) wheel mouse button, 6) app button, 7) forward and 8) backwards.

Again, the MX700 is only ~46 shipped from Amazon after $20 MIR and free shipping. You'll regret not getting one at this price if you wait :D

I'd be careful about this. There are MANY wireless mice out there, and I honestly think I've tried them all. THe mx700 was the first one I have ever used that has absolutely no lag. I have a hard time believing medion has also perfected this.

This is clearly not the mx700. They've perhaps tried to make it look similar, but it's not the same mouse.

Still: I don't know anything about this mouse. Someone buy one and tell us.

I'm just wondering where the other two buttons are?

btw, the MX700 has 8 buttons, I think?

My MX700 has 6 buttons. :D

8 buttons...1) mouse one and 2) mouse two, 3) scroll up and 4)down, 5) wheel mouse button, 6) app button, 7) forward and 8) backwards.

owned? I think so :D

Technically, the scroll up and down shouldn't be considered a button considering you don't push them in the old fashion "button" sense. But I can understand Logitech's little ploy to try to inflate their mouse a little more to justify the price. ;)

thanks for posting! might get this one
and i have so much logitech in my house it's not funny
ten various mice -- from basic to oem hp/compaq to wingman to ifeel
four joysticks
three french hens
two steering wheels
two cordless keyboard mice combos
but i wouldn't buy any peripheral from them based on a manufacturer's rebate ANY MORE
they and viewsonic are the ONLY manufacturers to ADMIT THAT MY REBATE WAS CORRECTLY SUBMITTED and that THEY STILL WOULDN'T FULFILL IT. don't get a logitech device if the rebate's important to the deal, all i'm saying

Well, I couldn't resist...I broke down & went to my neighborhood Aldi's & got me one.
I ain't a professional reviewer, but it seems like a good mouse. I don't game hardly any (Freecell, Hoyle) & the cursor moves where I put it. The buttons (I don't need 8...I have a hard enough time trying to figure out how to program 5) seem firm. The mouse doesn't feel too bad in my hand, but i'm used to larger mice (Intellimouse, Mouseman Pro).
If I offended anyone by asking if it was a rebadged MX700, I apologize, but all I had to go by were pics.
Overall, I think it's worth the $24.99 if one is needing a new mouse, but that's just my humble opinion.

:)
