I was at Walmart picking up some misc. stuff and found this on a clearance rack. They had 3 of them and one was the newer version (33% faster). I already have one but I got one for my dad.

Mine quit out on me too after about a year, and so did many of my friends'. I'm not too happy with Microsoft, now that I'm back to my crappy PS/2 mouse...

This is a good deal.

Did anyone else notice the lousy silver paint gets pretty worn on these things after a while? Mine has more permanent scratches in it than any other mouse I've ever had. That being said, my first-gen mouse still works awesome (both of them - one at home, one at work). Good product, but I'm anxious to see if they put these into the new cordless mice MS is working on.

Excellent mouse. I have two, and they've been heavily used for a year, and don't show any significant wear. Awesome for gaming.

If your intellimouse explorer dies on you (mine did), you can get a FREE replacement one just by calling microsoft and giving them the serial# ... They send you a new one no questions asked. My friend did this too with no catch. Maybe someone can post the phone number to call. Takes 2 minutes. EVERY intellimouse is under warranty b/c they come with a 5 year, and they haven't been making them for that long.

This is a great mouse. Three of our five computers have one installed. Will they replace a natural keyboard elite? Mine died about a week ago.
