Just got back from the Sacramento Fry's with a warm PS2 deal.

They've got Metal Gear Solid 2 for $39.99 through 3/5/02. They had about 15 on the shelf. I have no idea if this is available at any other Fry's. Too bad I bought mine for $49.99 about 6 weeks ago. 😱

if you don't mind preowned ones, blockbuster has MGS2 for $29.99... got mine there, and it was in excellent condition (no scratches whatsoever)
 
I got Metal Gear solid 2 preowned from Blockbuster for $15.14 tax included yesterday. I am playing right now.
