The local store is having 10-20% off the whole store. Not huge, but if you were buying anyway, not bad. Today I was there and a lady at the door was handing out what looked like in-store made fliers for an additional 10% off. Does it sound like they are closing?
Maybe it'll get even better. I didn't really see anything there I would want.

Some 26 OD B&M stores are, in fact, going out-of-business over the next few months (i.e., in LI/NYC, Columbus, OH markets, among others). But OD.com and the vast majority of B&M stores are supposedly here to stay.

Yeah, I am just wondering if this is one of them, this is in Fairlawn, OH. Can't imagine it would be, it's kinda new and busy.

the maplewood minnesota office depot is closing. they have 10-30% off of everything in the store. what i find odd is that they opened less than six months ago.

Are the stores that are closing listed?

Is it just regional?
Any N Calif stores on that list?

Thanks

My Office Place store (in Canada, owned by Office Place) is closing, and it is clearly marked on the banners inside the store.

The prices started out with some pretty po' discounts, but they are getting better. So far, I have bought a desk lamp for 30% off, now i'm just waiting for the discount to get juicy on the HP 970cxi printer they have there. (evil grin)

Oh and the lady at the counter said they were going to stay open until March or April 13th, or until they sell out (!) of stuff, which ever is sooner. So I would imagine some crazy discounts are a comin'!

On the one hand, this OD that I was at is the only one kinda in the area that I know of. So I would normally hate to see it close because I would miss out on future deals there, except that it looks like I am going to be moving to another state in 2 months. So I want them to have a massive going out of business sale soon. :)

in nyc, none of the stores in Manhattan are closing. However, all Long Island stores are closing.

If you are lucky, you still can find bargains in Manhattan stores. The one in time square has 1.5" 3-ring binder for $0.10 / each!!
Lots of misc office supplies for $0.10 each.I missed the blue (iMac blue) wave shape "rubbish" can. Someone bought may be 15-20 that they have left there.
