Warm: Koss PortaPro $50-25% coupon = $37.50

Great pair of headphones. I only have one coupon so first person to PM me will get it. It expires October 14, 2005

Link to product and place where it must be purchased for the coupon to work:

You have to sign up for their website inorder to do anything. Kinda is annoying.

Great headphones.

Warm due to amazon having it for $39.88 and less of a pain in the butt to purchase from.

Most Koss products include a lifetime warranty and these are no exception. From their website:

"Your stereophone is covered under the Lifetime Warranty Policy. To have your product serviced, please send the stereophone along with $6.00 each ($7.00 Canadian) shipping and handling to the appropriate address for your location."

Personally, I prefer the PLUG - though it can be found for less elsewhere. No need for noise-canceling headphones when you have these in - and they double as earplugs! Great for the plane.

$32.83 delivered at PC Connection.

The PortaPro's are awfully nice in this pricerange, although the OP is basically a regular discount store price.

Anybody who recommends "The Plug" loses all credibility! Those are terrible, worse than $5 earbuds. They do seal outside sound, but are ridiculously bad sounding. The Sony MDR-EX71SL Ear Bud Headphones at around $29 delivered would be consensus choice in inexpensive ear-canal plugs. The Koss KTXPro1 at around $13-14 (Radio Shack sells this as an Optimus Titantium for $40, if you want to try in person) is a great cheapie conventional (albeit portable) set.

Opinions of the plug style vary. Some people complain about them not realizing they don't have them inserted properly. Some people complain about them too boomy, which doesn't really apply to those of us who are low-frequency fanatics (read: bassheads). In short, I'd rather have them in my ear than any crappy earbud with the foam on them where you can barely hear the low end.

If I want sound quality, I wear my 7506s - but I wouldn't wear them (or these Porta Pros) while on the go.

My opinion.
