Warm - KDS 19" AV-195TF Trinitron for $380 shipped

Jimmygates I dont own this monitor but have been looking myself for good 19 monitor. I have looked at this model Kds a couple of times and its got a decent picture and does look better than the viewsonic pf790 but it does not compare to the Mitubishi + 91 or Samsung NF. go look for yourself and be amazed at the picture of these 2 monitors they both can be had for around $450 Samsung NF is $406 and thats Shipped.

I tried =footing.com to pricematch this monitor.
They have it at $549.99 and amazon has it at $398.95.
Since =footing.com has 110% pricematch policy and $50 off $100 rebate, I could get this monitor at $333.85 + tax after rebate.
However, I cancelled the order because they told me it takes more than 2 weeks to get the monitor shipped.
Also, they'll pricematch after I received the monitor so I have to pay $549.99 + tax first and then they'll send me the difference after.
Note that their customer service is really suck.
I called them 5 times to cancel the order and each of them told me the order will be cancelled but everytime I call them again to make sure the order is cancelled, they say they don't see any cancellation request on their computer.
The last one I talked to told me they'll send me the cancellation request form via email; however, after waiting 1 day, I received the email saying my order will be shipped 11/17/00. --;
I'll try call them again tonight.
Have anyone tried to buy =footing.com?
I ordered that $2 64MB RAM after rebate while agao but I haven't received it yet.
Today, I call staple to buy monitor and they are great, I got the monitor $381.78 shipped and it's going to be here within 2 days.

yeah jimmygamtes, you gotta make a trip to those stores with display stands and compare them yourself. contrary to what mustanggt said, to me the NFs didnt have as good picture quality altho both looked outstanding. like i always say, to each his own.

Thanks for the advice. I took my lazy ass to the local Micro Center to look at the KDS. I turned up the resolution as high as I could and I messed with the controls to see how I liked it. Picture was good with only VERY VERY small distortion in the corners. The wallpaper was a light color one so I spotted the "TRINITRON LINES" immediately. Overrall, I feel this monitor is good for the price. Now I would like to know, the MAG 810FD caught my attention today and it seems to use the same tube, but boast a much higher resolution for around the same price. Anyone have any experience with the MAG 810FD?

Got my AV-195TF today & I'm using it right now.
Today morning, I called equalfooting regarding the cancellation(it was my 8th call to cancel) and the CSR told me that NO ONE PUT THIS IN CANCEL even if all 7 of previous CSR I talked to told me it will be canceled.
While I'm talking to CSR regarding cancellation, another CSR from equalfooting called me and he asked why I want to cancel the order.
I told him it takes two weeks to get the monitor shipped from them and I won't wait for it.
He was nice and offered me he will find the supplyer so I can get my monitor within 2 days.
An hour later, he called me again and told me my order has already shipped and it is scheduled to be here today.
He even told me that no one in equalfooting knew that my order was coming since they ship my from one of their venders, not from them.
I decide to go with equalfooting and did the pricematch wit amazon.com.
My total was $549.99 + $42.62 CA tax = $592.61.
Then he did the price match with amazon: ($549.99 - $398.95(amazon's price)) x 1.10 (110% pricematch) = $166.14
My final price was $592.61 - $166.14 - $50($50 off $100 rebate for first time customer) - $25(shipping rebate) = $351.47 shipped.
He told me I'll get all three checks within 2 weeks so I don't have to worry about paying my credit card.
He was the only nice CSR among 9 CSR I talked with.
If anybody is interested, his name is Don and extention # is 4805
Have anyone noticed there is $30 KDS rebate on this monitor?
I saw it at t-e-c-hxxxxxxx.com but I'm not sure if this rebate is allowed.
If the rebate works, it would be really nice to have av-195tf at $321.47 shipped!!!

I purchased this AV-195TF from Staples and they shipped me two but till now they charged me only for one i.e. 388.56. Can I keep both? What happens if I keep both? Seniors any comments?
