Never used eCost before - was a little bit worried. They play a game with the handling/ shipping charges and they get pretty bad reseller ratings. I ordered mine last week - got it today, no problems. Stepping is CACJE.

A quick google of CACJE shows it to be a pretty decent OC'er. We will see.

Yeah - like I said, their reseller ratings made me hesitate too. That's why I didn't post this until I got the merchandise. I wanted to make sure I wasn't steering forum members to a bum deal. Anyway, everything went fine.

I also understand that they do not do returns, whatsoever. But I'm sure AMD will stand by their product. Not sure that I'd order anything like a mobo or RAM from these guys. But I figured I would roll the dice a little on the Opteron.


 
Still works...once I realized that I wasn't ordering from Monarch, ignoring the RR and finally pulling the last trigger seemed easy. Hopefully they don't screw up my order or anything.
 
these are retail boxed and i talked to monarch for 4 days about their coupon codes that THEY listed in another forum because none of them work
 
I just bought a Bluetooth headset from eCost... the downfall? The shipping. Took about 10 days and the tracking information from the USPS was awful. I got a tracking number two days after placing the order which said that USPS got information about the package, however the package wasn't actually available for shipping until a week later.

$160 shipped for an OEM at Monarch, not retail. I bought two of these, and the price averaged out to $160 shipped for a retail box, so this works out better for me. Plus, I try to avoid Monarch like the plague. They are the most godawful place I have ever shopped at. They always, always take over a week just to ship out my product, and/or screw up my orders.

I only deal with them because of their absurdly low priced deals that pop up every once in a while. It negates the headache.

Customer service is absolutely miserable, too. I got put on hold for 45 minutes. I went to lunch, and let my secretary take the call.

I got in on this earlier...really hope they honor it since it's exactly what I wanted at the price I was looking to spend (was going with the monarch 144 with another HS).

EDIT: mine now shows backordered. Not looking good...this is usually the last step before you get the bend over and take it cancellation email.

Hmm, looks like they are out of stock. Availability went from same day to call us. I hope all of us that ordered at that price get these. I'll keep you guys updated if I get mine.
 
Well, I ordered when they said they were in stock, and now I get an email saying that I'm back ordered. Plus, I've been charged. Crap crap.
 
Just called them...they have no expected arrival date and their last shipment expected was 3/13 and never showed up. Went ahead and cancelled mine so now I get to wait until they release the "hold charge" from the order so I can get the one from tankguys.
