I'm doing the Adkins thing cause I'm one of those easy way out guys :-D.

Anyway this site has probably the cheapest Adkins diet supplies I've seen. I've been looking around for something like this for a while. Everything isnt 70% off like they claim, but their prices DO beat EVERY other store I've seen. Anyone have cupons? :)

BTW the Creamy Berry Cheesecake bars from Adkins..nummmmmy :-D. Lemme know if this helps you guys, also lemme know if you can find it cheaper. This whole, not-eating-cheap-foods-like-bread-and-frenchfry's-thing is difficult on the pocketbook. :p

This site makes me salivate :eek:P~~~

BTW Adkins stuff is not the only discount items they carry. Almost all of it is reasonably priced. I just can't compair anything else cause Adkins is the only stuff I buy WHEN I get lo-carb treats.

The prices at nettrition are just BARELY higher than the ones at vitacost.com
The adkins bars for example 24.95 at nettrition and 24.20 at vitacost. (great variety though!)
I just noticed the prices on single bars too(at vitacost.) You can buy 15 singles (advantage here is getting multiple flavors instead of a box of 1) for just 10 cents more. How convenient for variety, which is such a must on this diet. I wonder what the shipping difference is.
If anyone finds more like this, keep em comin!

Oh, on an aside, if you ever go to costco they have a steak marinade there called "Chaka's" it's awesome! and has no carbs in it. Makes a great tri-tip steak.

Low carb is good.
Adkins will kill you.
The problem is.....it works.
What you don't realize is that Adkins is eating your LEAN MUSCLE MASS as well as the fat. I have seen this in an actual test.

This is the truth. Atkins does kill your lean muscle mass -- IF you do not exersize and take the required vitamins/minerals. Vitamins are essential to the diet, and exersize is strongly recommended. The 3 of these combined I've lost 12 lbs in the last week. I feel great, my energy level is up, and every day I can rollerblade a little bit further. Eating protein is also a good thing. Eating just fatty foods doesn't do as much for you as eating the protein rich meals. ..erm..Sorry..Off topic, Go buy the book :)!

BTW I've been on this diet before. Man does it work well. Every time I get off of it (The proper way) I never gain the weight back until I go back to school when eating like this is not an option...It's a nasty cycle but I have only myself to blame for gaining the weight back each time.

1st attempt, lost 40 lbs, stopped, gained 20 after 9 months.
2nd attempt, lost 30, stopped, gained 10 after 6 months. (Over consumption of ..everything.. ensued)
3rd attempt, lost (a total of 30 lbs) but I'm only down 21 since my start date (I kinda was forced to break it for a weekend party woohoo!) But thats okay cause I'm back on track. :)
