I know the 5970 will probably be vastly outclassed by two 6770's in Crossfire soon, but for the moment this seems like a *decent* deal.

Newegg has it for $549.99 - 30.00 MIR = $519.99 AR They seem to overclock to 950/1250 or higher with minimal effort too.

plus, we have no idea if 2 barts xt's in xfire will really outclass 5970 or not. I'm inclined to lean towards the "not" category. Too many rumors swirling around these days.

Wow. That really is a good price. $200 cheaper than some of the other cards, and $200 cheaper than doing two 5870's.

Never spent that much on a video card, but it's slightly tempting as I've been toying with going to 3 monitor eyefinity setup.
