I would almost consider this hot but even though i have it at warm. I looked at this memory just 2-3 weeks ago and it was $230 at the egg and $260 at cheifvalue. Well it looks like both of them have this memory on sale for $169.00 shipped. I am very happy i found this tonight. I have 2GB of this memory now and its awesome. Hello 4GB 🙂. I have a e6400 at 3.8ghz running with this stuff. Its the same price at both places so i guess just pick your preference (they are really the same company though). Here are the links:

If your wondering these things are equipped with Micron GMH chips.

Not really sure what the "best" ones are but these are definitly very good. Consider my OC. I have been very happy. These were highly recommended at xtremesystems.org when i bought my system. most c2d OC were using these modules.

G Skill ram have very good OC and RMA process. but you might get the same chip by getting buffalo firestix for almost $20 cheaper at the Egg

Yes i actually considered going with the firestix but i already have 2GB of the g.skill stuff and i didn't want any compatability problems between my ram to hurt my OC i also wanted a guarantee i would be getting Micron chips.

In for a set, I have been running a set of these since I went C2D last fall and have had absolutely no problems, stock or OC. About time to go 4GB and the price is right.
My original set are Micron D9 chips and according to the GSkill tech at Xtremesystems these are the same.
TY OP 🙂

Yep same thing i thought. I wasn't going to get a set but price is right and boy is vista x64 a memory hog. Also i run so many memory intense apps that this is gonna really elp.

Yeah definitely good mem. Im deciding if its worth the price difference. I can get typical 5-5-5-15 g.skill for like $120 or corsair 6400C4 4-4-4-12 chips for around $135, so Im trying to decide if I wanna spend the extra $60 just for ocing.

I got these for $105 shipped in June, but not really a super hot deal (unless you are a heavy OCer) since you get get a 2x2GB G.Skill CAS5 kit for $80 AR now...
