Yeah, Newegg raised the price... also newegg sports a large type 'This item is NOT REFUNDABLE' under the camera...
 
I bought this camera about 6 weeks ago from Newegg when it was $306. It is a great camera-it did not get great reviews from Pro reviewers, but the average consumer seems to love it. I have owned Canon, Olympus and Sony and found that the S5000 has the best price/feature/quality combo around. The 10x zoom and the low light focus assist lamp are fantastic.
