just got back from staples and saw the fuji finepix on clearence for $99.50
they should have more than one because they have the display box as a display,
so you would have to ask for it.

Wow. Will CompUSA match the Staples clearance price? Because if they will that would be a Fire Hot deal. CompUSA has them for $179 with two rebates at $20 a piece. The camera would end up being around $60 after all is said and done. I would love to jump on that.

I have had this camera 10 months (for baby pictures). It is a very good general purpose digital, but it is pretty basic. It lacks a lens cover (minor annoyance) and has no optical zoom (wish I had spent the extra, but I needed one immediately). It has some manual control over flash and timing but I never have bothered to learn to use them. I subjectively rate the picture quality (for 1.3 mpixels) as very good and battery life as very good, though my only comparison is my friends Kodak 1mp digital which sucks. Definitely get the AC adapter unless you have a battery tree out back. Only comes with an 8mb card, but Newegg sells MRFlash mem cards for very cheap.

I had this camera and it's not too bad. Picture quality was good if the subject was 6 ft or less away. The flash was a bit weak, and I HATED the fact that you had to go through menus on the LCD to make any adjustments (for God's sake...how much would a flash button on the case have cost to add???) Also, since the flash is right above the lens, you're going to get a lot of redeye. Have people look to their left slightly and that should fix that problem.

It's a good point and shoot, compact camera though.

got this camera back in November at Staples when they had that big deal goin on! - buy XP for 99.99 and get the free dig. cam, 128mb memory and a 32mb Smart media card. After coupons and rebates my total for everything came out to be around 70-80$!!! Anyway, the camera itself isn't bad - it takes decent pictures and is good for a beginner. i just got tired of it after a while and after having the chance to play around with the Canon S110, i decided to sell the Finepix and pickup an S110 🙂 -i ended up selling the Finepix on ebay for 115$ later on so i mean, it is definately a good camera for starters.
