You know that arguing on the internet is for retards picture floating around?

why settle for a picture, when the original is just a glance in the mirror away?

Hence my "lighten up" comments - which apparently you can use as well. RELAX. It's an internet message board!

good advice, perhaps you should take it.

cheers and thanks for the info!

RELAX. Deep breathe. It's okay.

Holy cow, go have a beer or something! :)

I remember once my friend went there to get a Volcano 7. Fry's had like 8 of them, all returned. They all had thermal goop/paste on them and each one was missing stuff. So, we opened them all and took parts from each to make a complete set :)

Well I went back and bought the motherboard I previously returned. Saved myself $10, hope I didn't overfondle it the first time around.

white sticker doesn't necessarily mean it was opened by the original purchaser. i have returned many items unopened. you know what they do? they actually open up the box and check to see if everything is there and then they give it the famous white sticker. so if you see something you like and there is that sticker, don't assume it was opened by a customer.

If you have a good rapour (sp?) with the manager in the MB/CPU section they will help you out. I go in there alot to get the MB/CPU combos and only once have walked out with the ECS board. They will take the box price (not the sales price) and discount that off of a MB you want.

lol you mean first stand in the "buying" line and then exit the store and come back in and join the "return" line and then go back, pick up the item again and then go back and join the "buying" line ? you got lots of free time to save 5% on your hand....

i bet that for most items, if you work even at a fast food restaurant for the amount of time you spend in the lines there, you will make more money that way ;0 (i mean most items, not all items) ;)

i would want someone to accompany me to Fry's, but their largest TV (what is it ? 100" yet ??), purchase it and just when they are loading it, tell them to wait, i want to return it.....take the damn TV back in line....return it and then go back and repurchase it...LOL....btw, wouldnt it be hard to find that white sticker on such a big TV ;)

Actually, I've found it quite easy to return things at Frys- you simply have to go in at the right time. 8:00-9:00 am, right when they first open up. In and out in 5 minutes tops.

BTW, this is also the absolute best time to actually purchase anything in there as well, unless you like standing in line for 20 mins.

One day, they won't have such a great return policy if everyone keeps renting items. Then everyone will complain. But the 5% off is a step in the right direction.

I agree with that... Never try to return things from 4pm-10pm... it's hell, if you go in the mornings or during your lunch break (if its close enough to you) then it's the best time to return. They do have one of the best return policy without any restocking charges.

hahaha I bet some of the employees go around opening things they want to buy later. oops this one fell on the floor, I better go take that to the register and use my 20% off plus the 5% cause its damaged. And this whole white sticker thing is so lame. Everything they get as a return should be RMAed even for the slightest imperfection. Say a person bought it and returned it cause they just didnt like it and at the counter they dropped the box. RMA that thing, I work at costco and I know they should do the same thing as us. Whatever is damaged or returned goes straight to the back to get returned to the manufacturer for a refund. I think frys should do this just because they are a huge company and they could afford it.

I returned a video card that was not working right. I told them that it was defective and they smiled at me and placed a sticker on it and I found it back out for sale the next day.

I never buy anything that has been opened at Fry's.
I never buy anything at fry's with the white sticker on it, it just takes too long to wait in the line to return it, I have to drive 30 miles to get to my local Fry's. I just do not trust the moron who returned it ( probably broke it) . I really don't think they check the stuff out, I just think they put it all back on the shelf.

I just exchanged a Sony Digital8 Camcorder with my uncle at Fry's 2 months after buying it. He was extremely lucky they took it back and gave us a "previously molested" one. we were lucky that the supervisor was sympathetic. This is without the performance guarantee.

So I am very happy with Fry's at this time. They might do something to piss me off later.
