The Canon 820 is only $129 at Staples.... So which is better for Photo's only? I have a laser for B/W....

With Coupons it could be like $100-110

Anybody have experience with both of them?

The 6-color S820 is better for photos, and the 4-color i850 is more of a general purpose printer. If your primary purpose is photos, and let's say people think the quality is equal between the two, the ink will last longer with the S820, because it has two more ink tanks.

And if you buy 2 extra tanks for the i850 then the ink would last longer too - LOL! (sorry couldn't resist!).
I bought an i850 from Sam's Club. Blows my old Epson Photo 700 away.

Is the 820 only available at the brick and mortar stores? I can only see the i550 and S750 Canon printers at Staples' Web site. Thanks!!

[Edit]: I found the answer to my question. The S820 is available on-line. At the Staples' Web site, you just have to search for Canon S820 to bring the printer up. $129.98. I'll check the B&M stores out tomorrow and see if I can use a coupon to pick one up. If not, I'll go for the i850.

Just a quick question for those who now own the Canon i850 printer:

Does the printer power-on automatically when you send a print job to the printer?? Or, do you have to manually turn the power on? My old HP 720C had this feature and it was nice. My Epson Color 860 doesn't have this feature and it's getting to be a pain in the rear when doing remote printing.

Looks like Buy.com has this printer for about $8 less and shipping is free and more than likely you won't have to pay any sales tax either
