Warm Duron 750mhz and 800mhz?

Has anyone received anything from these jerks at GPS?

I called them this morning and was told that mine has still hasn't shipped yet. They could at least email their customers updates or state on their website that their merchandise is on backorder. Hell, they don't even bother to send order confirmations, even though they charge you right away. Anyway, this time I was told by Sean(?)that they would be getting a "load of them" in today. Your guess is as good as theirs.

I ordered like you guys did and still haven't received anything. No email confirmation or anything! The difference is that they gave me a different story. They told me that they have the items in stock but that they were coming from a different warehouse located outside Calif. I told them that other people were saying that they were out of stock and the csr, who seemed very disorganized and fumbling through papers, told me that the other csr's are misinformed and that they have plenty of cpus. Sounds fishy guys... it might be time to call your cc and put a dispute on the charge. What did you guys think?

I called about mine today. I talked to the owner, and she said they had been hit hard with the price they had it at. That is the reason for the delay and the price increase on their site. They didn't expect it to hit a forum like this! Anyways, she said they are trying hard to get the orders filled asap. So if you ordered, hang in there, they are coming! And no, I do not work for them, I just talked real nice!

I got mine, a 750 and a 800. The 750 was D.O.A. ( no fault of theirs, retail in a sealed box).
They are going to cross ship one on Monday for me.
They drop shipped the original order for me from Indiana.
I don't think their intention is to cheat anyone, I just think they are overwhelmed form the response once the deal had been posted and they are a bit disorganized.
If you want it fast and are willing to pay a little more, go elsewhere.
I also advise calling and checking often.

Well, I'm glad some people actually got their order. I couldn't stand dealing with this company anymore so I just cancelled. Every time I called I got a different story. If they had not charged my card, I would have been willing to wait, but it was charged the day I ordered. Good luck to those of you who are still waiting.

Just when I think I'd done with this company. I had to call GPS today because they hadn't credited my CC yet. Daniela checked my order and told me that my 3/29 cancellation was somehow never put through :| and that my 750 was shipped. I asked for a UPS tracking# and when I checked, it wasn't in their database. Hmmm. So I called back and Daniela told me it was shipped today I really really hope it's going to be in the UPS database tomorrow or it's time for AMEX to step in. Anyway, sorry for bumping this thread back up, but I thought those who ordered might be interested.

I placed an order for the Duron 800 on Mar 22 and of course it was charged to my CC that same day. I called on Mar 26 and was informed there was not any problem as they had five warehouses that it could be shipped from that week.
I called again on Mar 30th and was told it would ship on Apr 2 and that I would receive the shipment notice on the same day. When no shipment notice arrived I called again on Apr 2, PM and was told that my order was drop shipped from another warehouse on Mar 29th by UPS ground. However he could not give me the location of the warehouse or a tracking number and said they did not receive the tracking number until four days after shipment.
I don't see that this company has anything to gain by not filling orders as one can dispute this with the CC company and receive credit so the only other answer is they are totally disorganized.
Tomorrow I will call for the last time and cancel my order and advise anyone interested in buying a retail 800 Duron to look elsewhere for if there are this many problems with an original order just think of what would happen if you have to return an item!!!!

Mine arrived this morning before I had a chance to call.It was shipped from Indiana. I stuck it in my $65 refurbished KT7 MB from Paragon with an ATI Radeon and had no problems at all getting it up and running. Of course I penciled in the L1 bridges prior to installation but will run it awhile before kicking it up.
I guess it was worth the wait as an OEM Duron 800 runs about $11 more then this one.

Geez, I'm glad I didn't order from these jokers. I was going to because of the great price, but changed my mind when the problems started showing up on this thread. Thanks for everyone that posted their experiences.

Awesome! I got a UPS tracking # and mine is arriving today
This company is disorganized but I think it's due to the fact that they are new and don't know how to work with the computer database. CSR are very friendly and helpful and my goods are being shipped as it was promised.

I just got my 750 ( I ordered on March 21). It came in a really banged up box. (Not GPS' fault) Hopefully I will get it up and running inthe next day!

I haven't played around with the multiplier yet (waiting for the conducting pen from RS), but running pretty smooth at 7.5x124mhz with IWILL KK266-R @ 1.65V. I'll try at 133mhz later tonight. Sweet deal!

BTW they now have OEM ones. The 700 is 40 dollars. 4-5 dollars cheaper than the lowest pricewatch since i last checked.

Could I talk you guys into posting your chip markings (AKBA etc and week number)and OC speeds either here or in the CPU/OC forum? I'm interested to see some data on the 750 and 800 chips and what batch they are selling. Just curious.

shipping is little too high but still beats the other online stores.
They are week 48 btw. I clocked mine upto 950mhz at 1.75v with retail HSF.

They still have the best retail price for the 750 and 800 Duron CPU. The 800 is presently priced at $60. That is the boxed version with HSF.
Just be aware that this site is very disorganized and you may have to wait for a week or two for the shipment. Shipping is $10 which is about average price.

I got my replacment for the defective 750 Duron. They sent me an 800 at no extra charge. The people here are alright, but you just have to follow up.
