Just wanted to add how much I love the Yamaha line of CDRs. I have a external Yamaga 2x CDR200t that has been performing like a dream since I bought it years ago. It burns any and all media I have bought and have never had as much as a hicup from it.

Good find! Could be time for an upgrade at this price.

I ordered this one the last time around and am extremely happy with it. It writes fast and I have not had ANY errors. GREAT buy at this price.

How long does it usually takes for online stores like these to restock? Can we still make the purchase if it's out of stock?

The Plextor and Yamaha both seem like good deals.

Any problems burning SCSI to IDE? I just added SCSI to my system for a JAZ drive. Now, I've been considering my first CDRW burner and figured SCSI would be the way to go. But, of course, my CD drive now is a generic 32X IDE. Should I go with an IDE CDRW to match? Thanks.

try reinstalling ezcd creator. It's notorious for crashing. If you got the version 4, do the web update.

No, this is not burn-proof. CD-Writers began adopting the burn-proof or similar technologies with the Plextor's 12/10/32, TDK Velocity's 12/10/32, Creative Labs's 12/10/32 and Yamaha's 16/10/40. I probably missed a few other, but that is only the beginning of the list. All prior drives do not have the burn-proof or similar technologies.

Well, if you have version 4 you're gonna experience some probs... i have a Matrox G400, and when i use it with the EZCD at 32bit colors, it did an automatic reboot of the system! Good thing Matrox fixed that, but i don't know who's fault it was.
