If you "need" an external SCSI Burner:
CompUSA is clearing out this 8x4x24 External SCSI model (in fliers). The price includes 50 Yamaha CDR media (in cases). The 8x8x24 model can be found on the internet for $260.00 + tax + shipping, while the 8x4x24 is listed elsewhere for $300+ (I guess older is not always cheaper). If you really need to 8x RW, then go get the newer model. I just bought this, and a burn worked just fine at 8x. CDMEDIA world lists this in the top 5 drives. The media is in short supply at the store I went to, so that's on raincheck for now.
