BB has some unadvertised specials at their B&M stores:

-GBA is $89.97 (that much we know)
-Buy two accessories get $5 off
-Buy three accessories and get $15 off (accessories are $7.99-$14.99). So...it's like buy two get one free.

They had rechargable battery packs for only $14.99 (15 charge), worm lights for $7.99, cases for $7.99-$12.99, and gamelink cables for $7.99. There were lots of other accessories too.

The same deal applies to games: $5 off two, $15 off three. They were selling their GBA's on a table at the front of the store, with a sales rep answering questions. They're also offering a two year replacement warranty for $9.99. Not bad if you expect to get heavy use.

Bump

I just checked the prices on some of these accessories and they're twice as much elsewhere! Might be semi hot :)

If you have a Fry's Electronics in your area they have an even better deal:

Fry's thread
$89.99 GameBoy Advance with 2 free games and carrying case
2 free games are Austin Powers I and Austin Powers II (both are GBC games but will work on the GBA)

Geez, mostly all big retail stores ('cept Toys R Us) are selling the GBA for $89.99. It's not THAT great of a deal. Find it any lower and I'll be amazed.

The deal isn't the GBA price, it's the just you can get with it. I got $60 worth of accessories with it for $23.

I know, but there are other threads, I just didn't want to flame everyone there :p Hehe, nice deal in this one though. Good price for GBA and accessories.

Heads up guys, the NYKO worm light and Pelican A/C adaptor do not work together when you put a GBC game in. I know this is very weird, but when you turn it on, the light and screen flash and then turn off. But when you take the worm light out, the game suddenly works. I have no idea why this is, but you may want to avoid this combination of accessories. Also, if anyone knows what the problem is, please post.

a little OT, but when you play 2 player link games on GBA, do you need 2 carts? that'd be really expensive to have to buy 2 F-zeros, or 2 mario karts.

Jobber99, certain games need 2 carts to play multiplayer via link cable. The only games I've tried that don't need 2 carts are Mario Advance, Fzero, Chu-Chu Rocket. Other games such as Krazy Racers, Super Dodgeball, etc. need 2 carts to play multiplayer. When you play multiplayer in Fzero, you are only limited to 1 track tho.

Just an FYI - on usenet, every GBA game has had it's ROM posted several times, for those that want to "check out" the games with an emulator prior to purchasing the game cartridge.

GBA is pretty inexpensive because they get you on the games.
