I got in on this when it came up a few weeks ago. It's a very nice printer and really slays my old HP 660c in terms of speed and output quality. I consider it a free printer since it comes with a black-and-white cartridge and a tri-color catridge, which would sell for about this price if purchased separately. Printer out of ink? - get a new printer!

Anyone know if Staples is an authorized reseller. I'm guessing they are. One way to check is to see if staples shows the rebate.

Just checked staplesrebates.com in Hewlett Packard section, nothing there but a bunch of toner rebates. Anyone know if Staples is an authorized reseller for the rebate?

If you go to the rebate site and click on OnLine rebate, Click on the fill in form on line link and put in todays date and the 842 for the model (anything to get to the next page) you will see Staples in the Drop Down list of stores for your purchase. I assume that means they are authorized resellers.

off the cuff, they are pretty much authorized reseller of products across the board rebates at least shouldn't be problemat.

I believe you are wrong, I did a search (at least on the website for Sams Club) and only came up with the 840c (which was 89.90). The 840c does not qualify for the rebate, only the 842c. So do not think that buying at Sam's will get you around Staples. Word of warning.

But hey, the 895CSE is for $119...that's not bad, either...
