FF8 retails for $19.99 now I believe.

IX probably won't come out on the pc for a while.. it was just released for psx for some countries...

While FF VIII offers some nice eyecandy.. its storyline and gameplay (IMO) falls short of some of its predecessors. $19.99 is how much I paid for it on psx, I wouldn't have bought it if it costed anything more.

Btw, 7/8/9 are all being remade for playstation 2

When they say remake, are they doing a graphical engine overhaul or are they just gonna stick some minor updates and repackage it for ps2?

It's really reall sad. Bought a PS2 for Christmas (thanks hot deals forum) but the only game I really want to play is FFIX.
