Crucial has the refurb Radeon 64MB 7500 for $19.99 with free shipping.

Not the ultimate gaming card, but I got one for my parents computer and it works perfectly for them. Only 20bux shipped, its great for any second machines or kids machines you may have around the house.

Thanks. :)

There's a 4% discount for Computer Shopper readers <google> knocked off .80 (just covered tax for me). $20 shipped. No rebates. No shipping. No tax.

Good Deal Sluggo

It may be worth mentioning...
This looks like a low profile card. All you would need to do is mod the bracket.

Where did you find the 9200 128MB 128bit Radeon for $29?

There was another thread on this from 12/04. previous Crucial thread

Some people were complaining these refurbs have artifacts. Just a heads up.

This looks like a great deal on a card for the cheap HTPC I'm buiilding. $20 for a card with S-Video out is sweet. Mine is on order. Thanks OP!

iirc, the 9100's are just 8500's renumbered to show them out performing the 9000 (which they do)

$129 9700 pro is decent, no?
and the obligatory "how does this compare" question:
this 7500 to onboard nforce2 gf4mx graphics?

9100 = 8500LE, 250MHz R200 core and 500MHz (250MHz DDR = 500MHz effective speed) memory. The full 8500 has a R200 core at 275MHz and 550MHz memory.

The A5 version on crucial.com is probably 400MHz memory (description shows 5ns memory) and the A6 version is probably 333MHz memory (description shows 6ns memory). The A5 9100 for $34.99 + free shipping (-4% promo code = $33.59 shipped) is much better than the 9200 for $29.

Thanks for that info.

Assuming that you were correct, I went ahead and ordered the A5. Should be great for a budget, light gaming system.

Aww crap. I ordered a 9100, it's shipped, and I just realized that it has a DVI-D connector not a DVI-I connector. Meaning no analog dualhead. :(

would the 9100's be "OK" for Battle Field 1942???

How About Unreal Tournament 2004??

I am setting up a small lan at my house and need two more video cards.

17" monitors, so I'm thinking 1024x768

Yeah, both will be fine: http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20031229/vga-charts-04.html and http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphi...-charts-03.html#unreal_tournament_2003

The 9100 will be between the 9200 and 8500 in those charts. THG uses a custom timedemo for UT2003 that is more like a torture test, but most sites show the 8500LE (pretty close to the 9100 A5) running UT2003 fine at 1024x768.

I purchased the ATI component adapter about two years back. Can anyone remember which ATI cards work with the component adapter? I remember is working with the 8500 and 9000 models, correct? any others? Does anyone have the adapter working with either the 7500 or 9200 models? I have the 32M AIW Radeon Model 7000? card, which I never tried with the adapter. I do not believe it will work with first AIW Radeaon card.

Regards
Ron

I recently bought a 9100 Crucial Refurb and it has artifacts. Be aware that if you return it, they will only give you store credit minus the shipping. I've never had any problems with any new Crucial products.
