Was in yesterdays CompUSA circular, back page.

Sony media is 50% off, including the +/-RW's and CD-R's.

10 packs of +/- R's with jewel cases - $10.49 after $10.50IR.
5 packs of +/- RW's with cases - $8.49 after $8.50 IR.

They are 4x rated, I've burned the +R's @ 8x on my 451S @ 851S without any speed hacking or anything.

All sold out online, will have to hit B&M.

Good stuff if you don't want to gamble on the cheapies.

I believe that Wal-Mart carries Sony computer media, and I believe that they price-match. Could be a good way to get this deal even if your local CompUSA is sold out, just bring in the circular.

if you pricematch @ staples, u can get them a little cheaper, i just tried this, make sure u bring in the compusa flier, its a lot quicker that way, although a printout of the website will work (then they call up compusa)

$24.99 (Staples price)
- 10.49 (CompUSA price)
---------
14.50
x 1.10 (110% pricematch)
---------
15.22

so:

$24.99
-15.22
--------
$9.76 + tax

and of course, if u buy a bunch and use a coupon they'll b even cheaper per disc

my local staples (greenbelt, MD) only had +Rs left, they had a bunch sitting in front of the customer service counter (purple box)

::: edit :::
I checked the media code on these --> RICOHJPNR01 :)

Staples had this deal for $9.99 2 weeks ago. Maybe it'll come back around again if it's sold out at your Compusa B&M.

The two local dickwad managers at my Staples were the rudest managers I've ever encountered. Not only did they try to decieve me, but they don't know Staples pricematching policies, nor could they get me a copy of it, and they're also lucky I don't get offended by extreme cussing because if I did I'd be in an outrage.

Here's my story for anyone that cares:
1) Went to staples with the intention of purchasing 4 DVD+R's since I have a Staples giftcard.
2) Takes them 20 minutes to call CompUSA to see if they have it in stock
3) I ask the guy specifically first if I could buy all the ones they had in stock (turned out to be 4 coincendentally), and if I went over $75 could i use a 15 off 75 coupon. He says yes
4) Takes the cashier 5 minutes to finally get the first manager over, who promptly says "what the fvck is this" while looking at the CompUSA ad and then tries to deny me the rebate saying they dont match sales prices. After finally convincing him, he says ok, but you can only pricematch one because it's Staples policy.
5) I know he's BSing at this point so I ask him to please show me the policy, since it doesn't say limit one on compusa's ad and I've pricematched more then one at that staples before. He says tough luck and tells me to talk to his boss if I want to discuss it further.
6) I go to his boss, who shows me Staples.com's FAQ, then tries to bullshit me by pointing to some irrelevant paragraph about not price matching gift certificates, which has nothing to do with what I'm trying to do.
7) Finally they find the policy which says store reserves right to limit quantities, which is not what they said originally, which I not-so-kindly point out to him. Anyways, I know that I have no chance at this point, so I make him write down his name and leave.

Maybe I was wrong about the PMing policy, but I'd think a manager would have more courtesy to his customers then to drop F-bombs and say bullshit a bunch of times.

Just felt like ranting, good luck, and apparently it's YMMV if you run into the same dick managers that I ran into at the Staples store in Pleasant Hill, California.

Wow these forums are really screwy, it doesn't even do paragraphs for me.

Wow PoPPeR, I'd definitely pass that to corporate. If not because they jacked you on the PM, but because of their complete and utter unprofesionalism.

Totem Lake, WA was sold out when I went to exchange my 2 boxes of +R's for -R's. So I just returned them (as in they have 2 boxes now).

Went to Woodinville, WA Staples, did a price match and was in and out in 5 min.
