Warm, Compaq Celery 1.7 laptop $700 no rebates

Staples is having the AMD 2500+ HP laptop Feb 29-Mar 13 for $799 AR. $99 isn't to much to pay for new vs refurb. It's $999 - $100 IR - $100 MIR. Possible coupon use + teachers/business rewards?

you can see it for the SFO zip (94133) in the staples circular. The laptop's not advertised in all zips (I found a few in teh midworst that don't have it listed).

Why, oh why do they still sell laptops with USB 1.1?
This HP looked like a deal I could get in on, but no integrated wi-fi and USB is only 1.1.

Decisions. Decisions.

A 1.7 Celeron seems kinda outdated and slow, no?

There are much better deals out there right now. As people have already mentioned, Staples is offering some pretty nice deals.

If you don't mind a refurb, HP outlet sells P4 2.4 Compaq laptop for a bit more at $719.00

Edit: Just double checked, looks like for $20.00 difference you're geting a whole lot more, like 40GB HDD (instead of 20), DVD/CDRW combo drive (instead of DVD only) and Radeon graphics versus SiS.
