Warm? Canon PowerShot A300 + 128MB memory card $199 @ Target

i like it also, would have bought it last week at cc with the coupon, but i'm trying to resist temptation
om is running a similar special this week, but their card is only 64mb (i think)
i just came from there too -- whew!
thanks for posting!

it's definitely a good deal. 3.2MP is way too good if u're only taking @ sub 1MP pix. but it's a great deal for a decent camera. i personally would spend a few more $$$ and go for the elph series (ie. s230)

*hugs my s400*

//krunk (^_^x)

didnt target also have the a60 for 229$ w/ the 128mb card? that seems like a hotter deal.

better cam IMO.

Any word on the quality of Olympus D-390? All the reviews I read are somewhat average. I can certainly sprint for the A300 but there's a good $60 price difference.

I hear that Canon makes among the best digital cameras, but to me the lack of optical zoom is a big deal.

Are some cameras significantly better than others with their digital zoom? My nephew's Sony Cybershot is noticably poorer quality with the digital zoom.

Digital zoom is no better than you taking the photo w/ no zoom and just digitally resizing it in Photoshop. At least that's based on my experience. In fact in most cases i've tested, quality is a lot better if you do the "zooming" in Photoshop.
