Warm: Borders Coupon 25% off book/CD

YMMV, but the store near me (Woodbury NY) had some decent clearance items. Calendars were 50% off, and I snagged a Simpsons 8-ball/Uno gift set for the grand price of four bucks (original was 15.99).

yep maxim and boyplay calendars were 50% as well
they have a wall of stuff that will drop to at least 75% if its still there (long enough)

As much as I like Borders, I can't help but think that any store that effectively has a neverending supply of 25-30% off coupons (one expires, another pops up) is basically just 25-30% overpriced. Basically you're a fool to go in there without a freshly printed coupon in hand.

Linens N' Things and Bed Bath & Beyond fall into this category as well. I could wallpaper my house with those giant coupon postcards that come in the mail.

It really depends on the type of book. Every book except for maybe college textbooks has a list price. Some books, usually the more popular ones, can sell for 30-40% off, while others are almost never discounted at all. It's easy enough to run a title through pricegrabber to see how much other places are discounting.
