Hot if you're in the market for some good DDR.

How's the quality of this memory? or IOW, how does it overclock?

Also, is this better for an Intel processor or AMD?

this is soooo funny. You said it's some good DDR, yet you are asking how good these are?

"Good" is not a word I use with enthusiasm. One usually buys PC4000 for overclockability and perhaps tight settings, not just "good" memory. I'm looking for some feedback about how high it can be pushed.

Right now, as you can see in my sig, I have some well regarded memory, but I can only run it in "Optimal" mode on my mobo. Quiet honestly I am disappointed. I didn't buy a matched pair and since I've decided I need more memory I'm considering a pair of these.

This would be alright if there werent any rebates, bestbuy occasionally has these sticks on sale.

After doing a search on HyperX I found BB had this for $99 each not too long ago.

If it's this memory then it's kinda hot. These are rated at 3-4-4-8. According to some of the reviews from customers at Newegg, they've been able to get timings as low as 2.5-3-3-7.

I have used 2 of these sticks in dual channel for a while with awesome stability. I only run them at 333mhz, however, the timings are lowered to 2.5-3-3-7. Great memory. I got them for about 100 apiece as an employee back in the day. You cant go wrong plus you get lifetime warranty.
