-Go and add the AIW Radeon 8500DV to your cart from here

-Go here to find $30 off $249 coupon.

-Total $257.95 - $30 = $227.95 plus tax and shipping.

Too bad Dell does not have this card on their website.

ATI is selling this card for $250 less a $50 rebate with $10 shipping. You have to mail in an old cideo card as a "trade-in" but it could be junk.

Yes with the trade in program, CA residents have to pay 8% tax wait 4-6 weeks, then some for the $50.

Thanks for the insight

I've heard good things as far as multi-media goes

It has most of the features of the DV, without the firewire, and they bumped to 128 for the gaming and clock speed. Will have to do more research.

here's the research :

- this card is powered by a radeon8500 clocked at 275/275
- reaches the performance of Geforce4 4200, and sometimes even outperforms it...
- is overclockable
- extra features such as DV (no firewire compared to 64 version) and TV are there...
- new, very good drivers give it a boost (looks like ati got over the problems...)

but....very pricey!! TOO pricey!! price now is >$300

If it falls 50$ next week it is mine....

and of course I wasn't talking about the 64MB version but the 128...
64 is still an awesom card with all DV capabilities but it is clocked down...
ATI redesigned 128 - when 64 was released they never accepted officially that it was a real 8500 (called it 8500 R200) more info @ anandtech article about the 64 preview...

I think he was talking about the Radeon 8500 128MB AIW, not the AIW 128. =)
