Great case for good price. Maybe it's time to build that HTPC for my theater room.

Great case and great shipped price. I have one, myself. Just be warned, the front bezel is all plastic. Mine came busted during shipping, but Antec replaced it for free. The power supply is very good, but I wish it was a bit quieter. It's the loudest component in my case, since I have my 120mm fans slowed down using a fan controller.

If I use the 350W that comes with it, the fans will promptly be replaced with a 80mm M1A, and a 92mm L1A. The rear 120mm is already going to replaced with a 120 x 38 M1A.

:)

I have this case for my fileserver/router computer, it's a NICE case. I bought it local because the shipping from newegg was too much (and I live in CA and pay tax either way)

This is a great price for it.

I have this case, reall nice and sturdy. Only quam, is needs bit more openings in the front grill to let in more air.

I tested this and went with the BQE.... the BQE is definitely quieter. But this is a pretty good price with no shipping. If you must get quiet, such as for a HTPC, then you may wanna check out the BQE or the Sonata. IF the BQE came down to this price I'd grab a few

From what I understand, the only difference in the BQE is the PSU and the side mounted HD's (which I don't like). From the reviews I read, most of the noise is from the sleeve bearing fans in the SL PSU, and by removing the fan grids in the front and back, and changing the PSU fans, it should be equally quiet. The BQE comes with a Tru Power PSU right? If so, that's probably the difference in noise right there...

:)

Bump for the Sunday morning crowd. I have a feeling the free shipping will disappear come Monday morning...

The SLK3700-BQE actually comes with a 350w Smart Power with a single fan instead of the normal 2. The Sonata however does come with a 380w True Power, it also has a single fan.

Below are 3 good articles reviewing the cases as well as an Antec comparison chart.

was curious... what are the quietest models? i mean for each size 80/92/120 (x25/x38).

SLK3700-BQE at Ebuyer for $62.96 + $11.73 shipping to MD. The first time this link may not work, just click on US flag on upper right, select always redirect to US. Close window. Reclick link and it should work.

comes up at $89 for me even before shipping. This ebuyer is too difficult to deal with...even redirecting the d$@!*&n link.

Ahh, I see there are a couple of little differences between the BQE and the AMB. However, it seems silent PC likes the AMB better if you are willing to cut out the fan grids (which I am), and remove the plastic fan holder (which won't be an issue as I won't be using a front intake), and the AMB has a glossy paint job, which I prefer.

So, looks like I made the right choice! ;)

I just don't like that sideways HD mounting scheme...personally. :)

I just bought an Antec SLK3700-BQE case last week for a new system assembly. I have to say, I love this case! The SLK3700AMB is also a good case and definetly the right price! Go for it! :)

On a side note, the 350W power supply is more than enough to power an ATI 9800 Pro, P4 3.2ghz processor, ASUS PCP800-E Deluxe (might have the board number wrong so don't flame me), with all the trimmings. :)
