Nothing special here, but if you need one, an easy way to save $20.

Office Depot has it for $99 (starting 6/24)

#1)Buy it using the $20 off $100 online coupon.

-or-

#2)Print it out, walk/drive/swim to staples where they have it for $129

PM $99, break out the coupon $20 off $100. Price matching is very easy at staples if you do it with an established store (ie Office Depot, CompUSA, not shaddycomputer.yahoostore.com ).

$80.

(I missed out when you guys got these for $50 or whatever!)

So where can I get the $150 SMC Wireless router?
Does it have the capability to block unknown MAC addresses? (Linksys WAP11 doesn't, that's why I'm looking for another WAP).

Yes it does. Just got the firmware for the 7004AWBR. I bitched about it on Friday and it went up on Monday.

I'd wait for better deal to come along. I recently bought the PCMCIA Wireless Linksys card for less than $30 total! That was at Staples with coupon, MIR, and Amazon pricematch:)

Speaking of MAC addresses. Does it have the ability to clone the MAC address of the network card in your computer?

Buying at OD.com is better than going to Staples because you can get 2% ebates from OD.

FYI - if this is the 1st generation Linksys card, which it looks like it is, the range is only 2/3 the range of most other wireless pccards. I have it and a 1st gen compaq card, they both use the same chipset diff antenna. Linksys signal isn't as strong - drops off 1st. Also seen people comparing it to Orinocco with same result.

So many people complained that Linksys is putting out next generation already with better antenna and newer chipset. Seen complaints about SMC pccards too (Access points okay). Not sure about Dlink quality - probably the same though.

Sorry about crapping on thread, but Rally1 asked. Then again, a cheap wireless card is hard to pass up. It's half the price of the higher quality (higher range) pccards, but the signal loss is only 1/3.
