I'm not sure if there many amd fans here but there's this deal at amazon that may be worth checking out?

Seems to be on par with microcenter prices but then again not all of us live near a microcenter. Opinions?

The 100W TDP A8-5600K has been hovering around $90 on Newegg and Amazon lately. The A8-6500 isn't unlocked, but has a lower TDP, and the chips' performances, both CPU- and GPU-wise, will be very similar. I think both are a lot of performance for $90. Edit: That said, the stock cooler that comes with the 5600K is barely adequate at stock clocks and under load, it's really loud - for that reason alone I'd give the nod to the 6500.
