Sounds like a pretty warm deal since the card has a built in HDMI connector and comes with the HDMI cable.

What do you think? HTPC for someone who wants to play games too? Fan might be a little loud for some though.

Conspiracies and marketing. It's nothing but copper; and quality of the cable does not matter because this is a digital link (0 or 1) we're talking about and the EMI from the copper wires is nowhere near strong enough to flip a bit in another copper wire. So basically, a $5 cable that you built yourself would work just as well (as long as your solder connections are good) as a $200 cable.

i got one of these a week ago for $119 for a linux box... i am having trouble getting the hdmi to output sound... there's a loopback cable for the sound (spdif to vid card), and i get sound out of the spdif, but hook it into the vid and no sound... the disk that comes with the board has no manual or driver on it... ther driver install ahs a link sto nvidia's web site!!!

the good thing is that, when direct hooking it up to my mitsu with hdmo, there's no lag like when i hook up the 8800gts via a dvi-hdmi adapter...

HDMI cables are a joke. Wanna know what the cost of them is? Like if you worked at a retail store and got them at cost?

I can get a 18 feet signal shielded gold plated MONSTER HDMI cable for like $20. They're like $150 retail lol.

How do these cards fare against 3850's?
