Local K-Mart had Goldstar 600W microwaves (mechanicall timer) last weekend for $29.99. Wow!

Not to thread-crap (sorry, I'm bored ;) ), but the actual usable power of a microwave drops noticably when you go below 1,000 Watts.

As long as you have enough to zap popcorn, that's what counts.:)

Sounds like a great deal and I was looking for a cheap microwave for my college apartment. This looks like a great fit.

I can't decipher the www.heier.com website, but I can say I received an Avanti (Montgomery Ward) microwave oven in 1990 (house-warming present). The manual is written in Engrish; power consumption = 980W, output power = 500W. If I had a hamster, I know this beast would cook it in seconds. I've been waiting for years for this piece of trash to die, but it keeps nukin'. It always cooks food a tad faster than the prescribed time on your favorite frozen food delicacy. I wouldn't hesitate to nab that nuker for $35 or so American dollars.

When I add the microwave to my cart for local pick up, it shows up as $69.99. So, I could just go to my local store and use the $20 off $50 printable coupon. Then, the $15 MIR. Thus, $35 + tax.
