if this is posted already.. sorry. i tried searching.

sign up between jun1 and august 31, 2005 and get 5 cents off every gallon of gas for 90 days. $20 savings max per account.

thats from the flier i got from exxon mobil. be gentle.

cool, that will make the Exxon price the same as the station across the street 😛

For some reason the closest Exxon to my house is always the most expensive in town and the Exxon 5 miles away is always one of the cheapest.

Ugh why do people go out of the way to save a few cents on gas when they go out and spend so much money on other things?

20 gallon tank. You save a dollar a fill. Ugh.

Lol I work in mobil 🙂. To tell you the truth, it wont make a difference at all, the transaction fee, and also don't forget the interests fee will just over ride the 5cent discount. Just a warning drive when you need too, and also spend wisely my friends

A worker from mobil (cashier 😛)

What transaction and interest fee? It just ties to a current credit card doesn't it and there is no fee to use the speedpass?

Because you save 50 cent here and save 50 cent at another place, and then you go to the Dollar Store and get something for yourself!!! - Rusell Peters

Now think of the interest rates 🙂, would it make a dent on the 5 cent savings

Seriously, sign up for Citibank Mastercard. 5% cash back on gasoline purchases.

At $2.50 a gallon, you are saving ~ $0.12 per gallon.

What the heck are you talking about? What interest rates? If I'm buying gas anyway, I'm going to be putting it on my debit card for the cash back and now I just get a little niffty device I'm going to put on my keychain and swipe in front of the pump instead of looking in my messy purse for my credit card...😕

Or.......(here's an idea).......you could use this thing, then pay it off every month!! OMFG!! What a concept!!! 😉 J/K (can't help but be sarcastic sometimes, ya know??)

unless you drive a long ways to work and have to fill up 3 times a week

thats $12 a month

Nice!

With the price of gas up somewhere in the stratosphere these days, this should be saving me hundreds 😎

Thanks OP

Is Mobil gas any better?, I mean I have a friend that swears by it but i use whatever is closest/cheapest...

Well I for one am IN. Seems to be a lot of Thread Crapping on this one, but I look at it this way:

I get a 5% rebate on my current Credit Card for Purchasing Gas, and use that anyway
Now I will get 5c a gallon on top of that
Where I live (Southern CA) Mobil is the cheapest anyway (and offers a cheap carwash to boot). I always thought Mobil was one of the cheaper ones (next to Arco, that is) anyway. Not like Chevron.
I already USE mobil to fill up, so I have nothing to lose, and $20 to gain...

The ONLY negative I see on this is the 90 days and the $20 limit. Wish it was forever.
