well, title says it all. 4" lcd that takes most regular inputs (a/v). might be an interesting project if someone can figure out how to get this to work as a second monitro or something and have it display various information.

check it out here...

I guess this would be if you want to put a display in your Car or in an area that needs a small footprint...say in a store behind the counter...

this would be pretty sickkk to have winamp visualizations on the side...or even to keep outlook open there to check email and calendar etc....

I have a buddy that attends my LAN (www.lanaholics.com) that used one of these in his case to monitor status (temp, fan rpm, etc - I guess it's some mobo utility). He has it installed in a hole he made in the front of his case and it takes up a bit more than 2x 5.25" bays. It looks amazing. I will see if I can find a picture of it.

All you'd need is a video card with TV out, which many of them do. As long as you use 1 video card AGP (for the main monitor) and 1 video card PCI (for the secondary monitor), it'll work just fine.

<< OT:
I've got a 5in color LCD I'd sell for $99

Or you could just buy this 5" ultra-thin one for $20 more direct from the same dealer as above .

Sure you could, but mine comes with an enclosure, standard wiring harness, and a speaker, for $20 less

If you have a single video card with TV out, does that mean you can have your monitor connected via the VGA interface and the lcd connected via TV out at the same time?

are there any ways to connect fiber in out/ to analog/composite in out?? I have a fiber in and out on my pc, but no composot. If theres a way im buyin this

Depends on the video card.
I had an old Jaton AGP that couldn't, you had to choose one at a time. However, I had an old S3 AGP that could. The S3 could only display to both TV & monitor simultaneously if the resolution were 800x600 or less. It was also the same image on both displays.
I don't know the capabilities of most of the newer video cards as I haven't bothered playing around with the TV out on any of my newer video cards since the TV is no longer in the same room as the computer.

I know that I have seen this beofre and people had no trouble using it as a second monitor with their Radeon 8500s.

taken from site :

<< Resolution (dots): 383H x 234V = 89,622 * Dot Pitch (mm): .210W x .259H * >>

that should solve the resolution question.

I am nervous that none say what color level they are. I know there was a 'hot deal' here several weeks ago that it ended up being 8bpp (256 colors) so it pretty much sucked for anything with graphics like a DVD.

well, i am pretty sure that shouldn't be the case wit hthis one. i actually found out about this deal through an e-mail i got. the guys over www.importhookup.com made this deal possible, and i am assuming they have seen the product in action before trying to setup a deal with the company. good luck to whoever buys this though. iwant it but i am broke 🙁

maybe i haven't been keeping up with the newest stuff out there (which i haven't), but last i remember, the optical out was for audio? i could be wrong though. good luck trying to figure it out, i am sure there is something out there for you.
