What a PITA. I ordered one, and got a confirmation e-mail within minutes. I selected Next Business Day s/h (free). Said would receive order number and tracking info within two business days -- got nothing. It's now four calendar days after my order and Dell Support says they cannot locate the order.

Anyone else have this problem or do I just have one of the (un)lucky lost orders? So much for Next Day shipping.

Received mine today, suppose to be free next day shipping, have to check if they messed up the shipping charges.

Decent quality, have not hooked to computer yet. I noticed a problem though, it comes with only one VGA cable, it has a slim type "D sub mini 15 pin" on the monitor end, I tried to use a regular VGA M/F 15-pin cable and it does not fit. Can not found a place that selles this cable, even on EIZO's own site. I have to make one myself I guess. That's pretty bad as they advertise this to be dual inputs.

I am going to buy the ViewSonic VB50HRTV external TV tuner for this box, using my $40 viking memory coupon from amazon. A flat panel TV + monitor for less than $300, what a deal.

anyone have ideas or suggestions for making a stand for this thing?
I was thinking something simple, like getting a few boards from
home depot or whatever?

THe simpliest solution is a wire stand, you can make one yourself easily with a pair of pliers and some iron wire.

Try Ergotron.com. They make a nice wall mount bracket that will mate to the Vesa standard hole pattern on the back of the monitor. Not sure of the cost buy we use their products at work.

make a stand out of cast iron plumbing parts- short threaded bits an elbow and two floor flanges
silver for that retro-tech look?
may need a piece of plywood for the base and redrill floor flanges to fit the vesa mount holes

I know buying a $30-$100 mount blows the deal all apart

just where did I put that welder?.......

davesaudio - If I were you, I'd forget about ever seeing the EIZO. I got to the first step, just a confirmation e-mail, and nothing more. I looked on their site a few days later and the EIZO wasn't even listed for sale anymore -- not even a 'out of stock' item. My credit card was not charged, so be sure and check yours.

If you're dying to find an official response, go to www.dellcustomercare.com and post up a message on the Customer Forum - Order Status. They're usually good about it if you can supply them with any info you have that could help them look up your order.

I am still fighting with Dell, tho the rep is trying had to push that Dell dungball uphill

She has asked for proof that people who ordered after me-sept 18'th are getting product so she can investigate further
Can anyone who ordered after sept 18th and has received or has been shipped share their order number?
