Don't know if this is great or anything, but I just noticed in a mailer I just got:

For you Peltier/Amp starved folks: 12.0 VDC (Typo I think, the mailer says 13.8v and so does the Samlex website for model SEC1223...) 23-Amp Regulated Power Supply: here for $89.99. Its made by the samlex corporation whose wesite is unfinished http://www.samlex.com/ but has suggestively attired women selling antennas, scanners and power supllies? Bizzare. Only in europe I suppose...

And something for the case temp crazed, or independantly wealthy: Infrared Pocket Thermometer: here for $49.99

I have seen them for more....so, enjoy.

for people that don't know you can also just buy an at or atx power supply, most are around 12 amps and run about 10 bucks off egay etc..

if you get a atx supply just hook a switch to the power lead. if you need more than 12 amps then youll have to go with something else most likely, like a unit like this.

FYI: if you are thinking of Tbird cooling a big peltier like 156w and 122w can pull 14-16amps....do you want to leave that to chance???? even a 12amp peltier on 12v@12amp line would make me scared.....you get what you pay for....a melted cpu and mb is not pretty....

Just a thought.
