'Warehouse 13' renewed for final season by Syfy

Syfy has ordered six more episodes of the cult drama, which will wrap up the series, Deadline reports.

Eddie McClintock (Pete Lattimer), Joanne Kelly (Myka Bering), Saul Rubinek (Artie Nielsen), Allison Scagliotti (Claudia Donovan) and Aaron Ashmore (Steve Jinks) star in Warehouse 13.

McClintock took to Twitter to thank fans for their support and address the shorter episode order, with Warehouse 13 seasons having previously spanned between 12 and 20 episodes

I guess 6 is better than none! Always really liked the show, though some of the artifacts are getting a bit ridiculous as the show progresses.

Indeed. I'd rather it keep going - let's be honest, it's still the best show on SyFy - but at least it isn't getting screwed.

Then again, SyFy did originally promise 6 final episodes for Eureka. And we all know how that turned out.😱 But on the third hand, Eureka was already past 65 episodes, whereas this is clearly about getting W13 to 65 for syndication deals.

In any case, SyFy is going to have a programming crunch next year. The only returning show with a full order will be Defiance. Everything else is going to be imports and/or new series.

(Remember the good old days when SyFy would produce multiple 20+ episode shows every season? Ahh, those were the days)

Or their infamous cheap C movies like

Gigazilla vs Sharktopus
Cavemen vs Some monster name here
Mechadragon vs sharkman

You know the "classics" (aka horrible, bad 'horror' movies that just plain suck)

Being Human will still be around won't it? That's actually my fav. syfy channel show. I wanted to like Defiance, and I'm still watching it, but they really need some better plots to draw people into the show, they set up this great world and concept, and then it's like they had no idea what to do with it.

I thought they canceled Being Human? I know it less than 1mil viewers this year.

On April 10, 2013 SyFy renewed the show for a fourth season airing in 2014.

The Warehouse thing was a smart move. With only six episodes viewers might be tempted to tune in to see how it ends, but not have to commit to watch a longer season. The Warehouse buzz will probably coincide with the second season of Defiance.

Syfy is famous for announcing "in development" shows that virtually never make it to air. However, this time they apparently do have shows by M. Night Dingdong and Ronald D. Moore that look like they are being made. It looks like an almost complete revamp of the Syfy schedule.

Unfortunately they never figured out what to do with her character. The only thing she was ever good for was being a patsy or a damsel in distress. She had no real character arc over the 4 years.

Yeah, they should have done something with her. Or rather ANYTHING with her.

HG and Claudia are much more attractive, though Leena isn't bad.

Her character was kind of annoying because she never really did anything.
Claudia more attractive than Leena?
Dude, you are under the influence of an artifact.

Hells yes.

Allison Scagliotti is the most attractive regular on the show. Way better looking than Myka and Leena. HG was the best, but she's not there anymore.

I think you're probably more of a CCH Pounder type person, though.

Clearly SyFy's problem is that the Canadian dollar is still close to par with the US dollar, so they can't make cheap shows in Canada these days.

BLAME CANADA!

Miss. Pardon-My-Tits* is better than Myka? No way, José! :colbert: I can still picture her in that leather outfit from the episode with the Simon and Kaylie.

*Note: Dexter reference for those that haven't seen it.

The last scene should be Artie, Pete and Myka as Regents. And Claudia as the new Ms. Frederics of Warehouse 14...on the Moon.
