It seems like we've been hearing about this movie since TBC. 😵 But now it's finally gaining traction. Shooting has already wrapped and it's slated for next summer. Official trailer is set to come out in November, but Comic Con attendees have posted grainy videos of what was shown already.

But more importantly, Legendary debuted the stunning 360 degree teaser.

Apparently, 360 degree playback is not supported in Safari. Either way, looks terrible. If this is the next phase of idiot movie trends like 3D, no thanks.
 
Been saying it for a decade: Starcraft > waaaaaaay more interesting storyline. Warcraft has been over since Arthas died a half decade ago.

gaining traction.......live action shooting has been done for months, they've had ILM working on the CGI since before that, and this was the third teaser of footage they showed.
 
Wow'd and raided through MoP but never actually interested in any story or the lore. I just liked killing shit and claiming stuff with big numbers. I may check it out for free eventually.
 
Yeah, I've spent countless hours on WoW, but I really can't say I care about the lore. And the more expacs there are, the less I care.

The voice of Gul'dan sounds like it needs some work. His voice in the WoW games fits his character so much better.

They really need to come out with Warcraft 4. Have it be 3 parts like SC2 with the last expansion leading into a WoW expansion. That way the story builds up and people care about the characters again.

I thought it was good Warcraft 1 -> 3. When you toss in World of Warcraft, it's impossible to maintain any of the story line in an MMO. At least for me.... /shrug

The entire Blizz lore has gone to utter crap in recent years. I used to be a huge fan of reading their stuff as a kid. It's awful today.

Starcraft:
SC1 story was amazing. Good foundation, well-rounded, and exciting.
SC2 was laughable. They gave Jimmy Raynor hair & pretty looks. It's not even a same character. SC1 Jimmy vowed to kill Kerrigan with his very hands for massacring everyone, including his beloved friends.

Suddenly, SC2 Jimmy is a white knight who rescues Kerrigan with some awful Hollywood ending. ????

Also what happened to Zerg? It was clearly stated in SC1 the fighting units (zerglings, hydralisk, ultralisk, muta, etc) were all assimilated from different planets. They retconned this whole thing and now they are all from 1 planet. And apparently Overmind was a good guy afterall and zerg race is a key to defeating the hybrid Zerg/Toss race? That's some recycled 'Horde/Orc are good, just was corrupted by Mannoroth' BS.

Diablo 3:
Oh hey look, Diablo is back again. LOL. If I were a mortal, I wouldn't even be scared of him anymore.All that soul/worldstone mechanic to seal Diablo is out the door. We need sequel money. Diablo is BACK! The 3 prime evils are gone. Hey now we have 5 lesser evils. Apparently these lesser evils are now scarier!

I actually think Warcraft lore is the least 'whored out' franchise out of 3. Well, except for that whole time-travel thing.

The whole time travel thing was interesting when the expac first came out but now all of a sudden the timeline is basically falling in line with the normal timeline? What's the whole point of the iron horde anyways if eventually everything is the same.
