All these expansions later and they easily could have found a soundtrack from the game that would have fit the trailer.

I didn't realize that Duncan Jones was the director until I saw the NY Times article on him.

I liked Moon and Source Code was decent so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Even the director, Duncan Jones, "spoke out against" the trailer and how it's "just marketing". He assured fans that the film's score does not contain any dubstep and is actually by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Pacific Rim, etc.). I don't know why the marketing didn't just pull some awesome epic theme from Two Steps from Hell or something like that.

serious note. the US may be the biggest movie market but its not the largest WoW market, its behind both the EU and China. which I assume is why the release is scheduled the way it is

Not a WoW fan (at all) but isn't this a little late/past the prime point where it'd make a lot of money?

I mean 08 or so would have been perfect I bet since there were so many people playing.

Either way I'm hoping I never see it.

Have to also remember that a Chinese company recently bought the production studio for Warcraft. And from latest pre-sale figures, it's looking like they could make back all cost in China alone with in country cross promotions popping up like star wars did here.
