Warcraft III question: Leveling up..

Hey all,

I've been playing for about a week now. I was wondering, if I have multiple heroes and I go attack, do both heroes get the same experience as one would or does the exp get split? Also, when fighting with allies, do I also get experience from their kills or only the kills my guys make? Thanks for any help.

I think the exp gets cut up between all the friendly heroes in the area.

So I attack on my own, i would receive more experience then if I attack with my friends heroes then huh? I guess that makes sense. I guess the rule applies if I have 2 or 3 heros under my control.

experience is divided amongst all heros in a given battle. that's why it's harder to level when you have 2 heroes as opposed to one, and becomes practically impossible when/if you have 3. i never creep hunt with my allies, 4 heros on one creep make it pointless to even bother. sometimes if i need a specific skill leveled extremely quickly i'll just creep hunt with that single hero.

one more note about heroes- if you're undead, you can use possession to take control of an ally's wisp/peon/peasant to build an altar and bring out one of the other heroes. you can only have 3 heroes max no matter what, i wouldn't reccommend more than 2 though on almost all occaisions.

The exp gets split evenly among ALL of you and your allies heros in the general area. Personally, I never build a second hero until the first one has its ultimate.

exactly, 2 heros is always more effective. i stick to that as a general rule, some extreme players use 3 however. the micro it requires for that is pretty nutty but it's possible. i'd rather have 2 level 4s than a single level 6
