Warcraft 3 wont recognize my CD drive...

i made a backup of my warcraft 3 cd, and am trying to get it to run off the backup.

it wont recognize the drive, and doesnt even spin up the cd...


this is pissing me off.



i made the backup with nero...

i've made the backup with nero, using the image write option.


it has worked before, it just doesnt recognize the cd now!

i've made backups of the diablo 2 cd's and they use the same copy protection. i dont understand why this one wont work...


maybe it's because nero expired... (it was the downloaded trial version of nero anyway...)

WC III use multiple copy protection schemes ie SD2 and securerom or something like that i forget

they only way i have been able to make a backup is using Daemon Tools emulating all the copy protection schemes(there are 4) and mounting the WCIII image

did you copy the securom with it? if not, you would have a hard time running the cd since it checks for it.
