10,000 to beta a game? I take it that'll be a drop in the bucket with advertising on AT and other sites.
For those who have beta'd before, do they force you to do the same action thousands of times like in-house testing? Do they withhold the movies and ending, will this be a semi full version?

it will be like all the units and stuff... but it is just the multi player usually.

I did the beta for Warcraft 3, and no, you just play the game. If you find anything wrong, whether its crashing, wrong functionality, etc, you just fill out the form that they provide you with. I think it asks you for the problem and the steps to recreate the problem. Also there was a forum that only beta ppl would only be able to post on. The beta was battle.net ONLY, and it had a completely different main menu. (different from the green meteor falling, it was a few guards on a castle rooftop at night. cool sound too.) but it had no single player, no cinematics, not even the ability to watch replays. At first, we were only able to play through custom games cuz there was no "play game" or "arranged team" function. Probably wouldnt be the case for this beta though. Hope this helps, and that you get into the beta.
