OK, I would like to ask for some advice please 😀 I just got WarCraft III, "Reign of Chaos" and I have never played a stratagy/RPG before as I am a FPS/CombatSIM type of guy.

So for you WC-III guys/gals out there what should I do to get the necessary skills to play this game as it sure looks sweet to play. Thanks guys/gals

P.S. why do I get the sneaky little feeling that this is a very hard game to master....

umm, first thing i can think of is.....

make your heros strong, by fighting all the monsters you can, befor you start fighting with the other guys in the game.

Thanks, wow!! this is reaaaal different from what I know in the gaming world 😀

this is gonna be a big adjustment for me...

Good luck to you in your RTS adventures 🙂

I have always favored FPS-type games but have tried several different RTS games (Age of Kings, Warcraft, Starcraft, Age of Myth.). However, they have not kept my interest, as I always got fed up with the micro management needed to be a good player.

I love the strategy aspect, but never seem to play these games for more than an week or two.

Play the single player game. It is designed to give you a decent introduction to most of the units on each of the four sides.

It does a poor job of teaching you each hero, as Single player tends to stick with the same heros in order to tell the story.

Otherwise, single player will teach you a good deal.

Great game Warcraft 3. What saltin said really. The single player takes you through the gameplay pretty well. I have beenspending huge amounts of time playing the Custom Game section. You have lots of maps to choose from. You can choose your own team (night elf, orc, human, undead) and then choose the hero you want. This is the best way to build up your hero knowledge and general game play. Playing 2vs2 can be quite a challenge. Every now and ten I get suicidal and got 1vs3.

Go single player first. Starts off easy...but doesn't stay that way for long.

Hey
Thanks for the heads up guys..

Go single player first. Starts off easy...but doesn't stay that way for long. so far so good 🙂 last night I finished level 4 (I think) and it actually is a lot better then what I thought it would be...good stuff 😀 😀

I am still trying to figure out the "Heros" work....stay tuned!!
