Separation of church and state. Public schools = state. Private schools = church (most of the time).

Feel free to send your kids to private schools if you don't like it.

Incorruptible

You have an extremely fragile and pathetically stupid fabrication of your religion. Please explain where in your holy book how rabbits, chocolate bunnys, and egg hunts are commanded by your spiritual leaded Jesus.

Only nutjobs have to make up shit to pretend to be offended about. You do an excellent job of minimizing and marginalizing yourself in the eyes of your peers. You're probably offended because your shadow is secular.

Incorruptible, I've come to a conclusion. You're not a religious person. Some nonreligious organization has planted you here to post like an idiot & make religious people look like idiots. Most religious people I know are nothing at all like you.

Also, the celebration of Easter has nothing to do with pagan rituals or Oester. Because the pronunciations are similar, some people have jumped to incorrect conclusions & made up facts to attempt to make a better case. Easter is clearly of Christian origin, always has been. Though, it's celebrated secularly by quite a few people. (Candy, etc.)

Pagans were celebrating fertility festivals after the Spring Equinox with the hare and eggs long before Christianity ever showed up.

What holidays are left to declare war on? We should really go for a clean sweep. Who is down for the War On Flag Day?

I'm having a "War" on Easter right now. My 5 year old sister is running around in a field right now with a bunch of little kids looking for Eggs with her basket.

They're calling it a "Bunny Egg Drop"

But really, they're calling it "Praise Satan!"

DrPizza If you've seen my other threads and posts I have never said I was a Christian BUT I am someone who will defend them and others when they are unfairly attacked. All I am doing is pointing out hypocrisy and defending Christians. And no I wasn't planted and that doesn't make sense because how can one person represent religious people?

Why did obama wish Muslims a happy Ramadan and Eid but he couldn't do the same for Easter? Everyone ignored this

That's the thing... Christmas and Easter became American holidays. We copied them from the religious and made them our own. Now they're being removed from public celebration (taken from us) under the guise of separation. Really does piss people off.

Heh. That graphic was adapted from a famous rant posted to alt.atheism on USENET about 20 years ago. The full piece is absolutely hilarious.

Taken away from you? Not forcing them onto everyone else is not taking them away from you. I'm pretty sure you are fully able to observe Easter, Christmas, or whatever else you'd like in just about any capacity you choose.

People can celebrate Easter by watching the season finale of the walking dead tonight. It's about zombies coming back from death, too.

I you don't get a paid day off, it's not a real holiday anyways.

That makes Easter the most worthless of the religious holidays..
