War of the Worlds Trailer

It looks interesting. I mean Tom Cruise and Spielberg did a nice job with Minority Report but still going in with eyes open expecting straight crap. 🙂

That was a great movie. I'm not expecting much for this movie except that it'll probably be a fun popcorn flick. I thought National Treasure would be crap, but it was surprisingly good and a fun enjoyable movie to watch. Screw the oscar hopefulls..the best movies are the fun ones. Well, LOTR is of course an exception. 🙂

The next thing they'll remake is Mary Poppins, Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang, and The Wizard of Oz.(Not the Wiz)

Why not the Wiz.....the Wiz was the bomb...haha

Lately??!! They've been remaking movies since the early 90's. Uncreative movie makers are to blame. There's also a retro fad going on now that is encouraging this.

I would like to see a lot of the earlier Bond Films remade with todays technology, as long as they did not enact the "artistic creativity" . Keep it Bond, but beef up the gadgets a bit.

Amen.

I watch movies because I enjoy them, not because they're "critically-acclaimed" or "Oscar worthy". That being said, this upcoming movie sounds like a serious version of "Mars Attacks" 😀

If it is done properly, this could be a hugely sucessfull film.

I hope the tag line "they're already here" doesn't imply that horrid tv series.

Give me real walking fighting machines and set it in Victorian England and I will worship this movie. Won't happen though.

I just hope I get real walking fighting machines and none of that Independence Day crap.

I would love to see the redweed take over the earth.

Parking In Athens

(Athens - CBS 6) ? The filming of "The War of Worlds" will bring more than a thousand extras to Athens on Monday and that is in addition to the rest of the cast and crew. That means parking will be scarce and the Village Center is off-limits to drivers. Police tell us they'll be out enforcing detours and parking regulations. For those of you that live in Athens, Chief Masse says you'll still be able to get to your homes and businesses.

A movie i would like to see a remake of would be The Day The Earth Stood Still

Still, i'm excited about this remake, and will definitely see it.

I'm all over this! I wish this would do well enough to get Paramount to release the show on DVD. It was only 2 seasons.

I hate it when they show the whole cloud shrouded disco lights jazz in order to depict the arrival of aliens. They overdid that in Independence Day which had explosions in the air when the big ships burst through the clouds.
In any case, the narrater sucked as well and lost me at times. Hope the movie turns out good overall.
